RECONSTRUCTION OF THE INTERSECTION AT COUNTY HIGHWAYS C AND H EXPECTED TO BEGIN MID-JUNE

Final plans and specifications for the reconstruction of the intersection at County Highways C and H are nearly complete. Kenosha County expects to solicit bids for the project this April, complete a contract in May, begin construction mid-June (after school is out for the summer), and complete construction by Labor Day. The intersection will be closed to through traffic during construction, though, residents in the work area will have access to their homes.

Plans, introduced at a public meeting in December, include the construction of a roundabout at the intersection to manage the flow of traffic. Plans also call for the installation of: sidewalks, curb and gutter at the intersection; LED lighting; a central grass area with landscaping; and pavement markings.

The Village would like to remind drivers to please drive slowly and take great care when traveling near road construction crews.
