The item pictured, recently donated by the Don Kueny family, is a Griswold cast iron stove-top waffle iron used by the Kueny family since the 1940s. Don recalled memories of his mother struggling to make waffles fast enough to feed five kids and picking the pieces of waffle off of the iron with a fork when they stuck. Members of the historical society will gather more information about the waffle iron to better understand its ties to the family’s history in Pleasant Prairie.
