During a June 9 meeting of the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission, Site and Operational Plans were considered and approved for the construction of a Kwik Trip gasoline and convenience store and a car wash just south of State Highway 165, west of State Highway 31, and east of 72nd Avenue in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Amendments to the Village Comprehensive Plan, a Conceptual Plan, and a Zoning Map, all related to the project, were also considered and approved.
Kwik Trip has plans to construct a 5,700 square foot building for the convenience store and a 2,790 square foot car wash building on approximately 2.4 acres. Plans for the site also call for: 13 gasoline pumps, two exterior ice storage bins, one outdoor liquid propane storage cage, a bicycle rack, landscaping, lighting, security cameras, signage, and storm water retention facilities.
Hours of operation at the station will be 5:00 a.m. until midnight, daily. A total of 16 full-time and 11 part-time employees are expected to work from the facility over three shifts. One fuel, one grocery, and one additional delivery truck are expected to and from the facility daily. Construction of the facility is expected to take 18 weeks to complete and is expected to begin in the near future.
