The Pleasant Prairie Police Department would like to thank those who participated in the Medication Collection Take Back Day on April 26 and those who have started using the medication drop box at the Police Department (8600 Green Bay Road). Since March, when the box was made available, 16 boxes of medication had been collected. On April 26, an additional 27 boxes were collected in Pleasant Prairie.

These boxes of medication, along with 114 others collected throughout the County kept a total of 1,792 pounds of medication out of our local water systems and landfills. The boxes were taken to the Milwaukee DEA Office for destruction.
