During the month of March, the Village is introducing a new public input component on this site. The component, named Open Village Hall, is a means for Village staff to collect input regarding topics that affect the provision of municipal services. Public input will enhance the decision making process and round out Village staff’s and the Village Board’s understanding of certain projects and topics.
Open Village Hall is an online forum where you can read about a topic affecting our community, read others’ statements about the topic, and provide your own comment about the topic. It has been designed to encourage civil and on-topic discussion in a convenient and non-intimidating way. Open Village Hall was created and will be mediated by Peak Democracy, an independent company based in California.
You are invited to join the discussion. The first topic has been posted to the forum; it discusses the open burning of leaves. To see or participate in the discussion, please click here. You can choose to register in order to participate in the conversation and share your thoughts, or you can simply read about the topic and see what others have to say.
To encourage a civil discussion, Peak Democracy requires registration with a valid street and email address and allows one response per person. The Village staff and Board would like to thank those who offer their feedback.
