The Village would like to thank those of you who joined us for the Ride 2 InVEST event for charity on Saturday, April 5 at RecPlex. Participants enjoyed free giveaways and raffle prizes. Non-perishable food items were also collected at the door.
InVEST of Pleasant Prairie is a local charitable group made up of employees from the Village of Pleasant Prairie. In 2005, a group of employees banded together to form a 501c3 non-profit group that would serve two purposes: serve the community through charitable acts and monetary contributions, and serve people in Kenosha County who have experienced an emergency situation that requires assistance.
To date, InVEST has helped 68 individuals or families and donated to twenty local charities, including: the Shalom Center, American Red Cross, Breast Cancer 3-Day, Maragaret Ann’s Place, TRACS, Children’s Hospital of Kenosha, Genesis House, Hospice Alliance, Kenosha County Foster Parent’s Association, Salvation Army, Women and Children’s Horizons, Kenosha Achievement Center, KUSD’s Youth at Risk Program, the Sharing Center, Meals on Wheels (KAFASI), Special Olympics, WAFS – Burn Camp, Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha, Make a Wish of WI, and Stars and Stripes Honor Flight WI.
