All interested persons were invited to a School Board Candidate Forum hosted by the Pleasant Prairie Woman’s Club on Thursday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. The forum was held in the auditorium at Pleasant Prairie Village Hall located at 9915 39th Avenue.

During the forum, candidates were asked to address questions from attendees that were written down prior to the start of the formal answer session.

The candidate forum featured incumbent Jo Ann Taube, along with new candidates Gary Kunich, Mike Falkofske and Dan Wade. Pleasant Prairie Woman’s Club representative Susan Lawler acted as the moderator for the forum.

Candidates were given two minutes to speak towards why they are running for the School Board and what their qualifications are. The moderator directed questions provided by forum attendees to each of the candidates. The purpose of the forum is to help members of the community become more familiar with those wishing to serve as elected officials on their behalf.

A taped version of the forum is now playing on Time Warner Cable Channel 25 in Pleasant Prairie (the local PEG channel) and on AT&T U-verse Channel 99. The video of the forum is also available via YouTube.
