Members of Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue would like to sincerely thank all who supported the 8th Annual Steak by Fire Fundraiser on Saturday, November 1. With the help of those who attended the dinner, those who purchased raffle tickets and those who made a donation towards the event, members of the Fire & Rescue Department will be able to purchase supplemental fire and emergency medical equipment to assist the department when responding to emergencies.
Equipment that has been purchased in the past includes: stabilization struts for use during automobile accidents and structural collapses; CPAP units to assist during times of respiratory distress; an Advanced Life Support Manikin for paramedic training; a GPS unit for use when responding to mutual aid calls; an EZ-IO drill; automatic defibrillators; and more.
The department greatly appreciates the support of all who have attended Steak by Fire and those who have donated items for the event. Special thanks also go to Dave and Kathy Perez of Chef David’s Catering, Brad Durocher of SUPERVALU, Mike Serpe, Paul Gotz, Doug Snow and Tom Bruno of St. Therese Parish for their assistance with the event.
