Thank you to those who joined Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue at the 8th Annual Steak by Fire Fundraiser on Saturday, November 1. The department wishes to sincerely thank you for your support.
Proceeds from the event are used to purchase supplemental fire and emergency medical equipment that assists the department in providing a higher level of response and service. Supplemental equipment purchased in the past includes: stabilization struts for use during automobile accidents and structural collapses; CPAP units to assist during times of respiratory distress; an Advanced Life Support Manikin for paramedic training; a GPS unit for use when responding to mutual aid calls; an EZ-IO drill; automatic defibrillators; a thermal imaging camera; emergency radios; computers; and a smoke machine for the fire safety house.
