PLANS APPROVED FOR 1.1 MILLION SQUARE FOOT ULINE WAREHOUSE
On Monday, August 11, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved Site and Operational Plans for Uline to construct a second 1.1 million square foot warehouse at their Corporate Campus in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The new warehouse will be located at 12575 Uline Drive and will support Uline’s ongoing business growth.
The facility is expected to operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week with approximately 350 full-time employees upon start-up. Roughly 100 employees are expected to work from 32,000 square feet of office space inside the new warehouse facility, while 250 are expected to work in the warehouse over three shifts. The company anticipates future employee growth at this facility.
Between 300 and 350 vehicle trips and 100 inbound and outbound truck trips are expected at the new warehouse daily. Access to the new warehouse is being proposed off of both County Highway Q and County Highway U. Plans for the new warehouse are consistent with the Conceptual Plan that had been conditionally approved by the Village Board in October of 2010. Community Development Director Jean Werbie-Harris commented, “Uline has been an amazing corporate citizen, and we truly value their investment and participation in both our community and the entire region.”
