PLANS APPROVED FOR ULINE TO OCCUPY AN ADDITIONAL 521,052 SQUARE FOOT WAREHOUSE IN PLEASANT PRAIRIE
On Monday, September 8, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved Site and Operational Plans for Uline to occupy a 521,052 square foot warehouse to be constructed at 8495 116th Street in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Uline will lease the building from developer Centerpoint WisPark.
The warehouse will be used as a distribution hub; it will store and distribute general merchandise featured in the Uline catalog to other distribution facilities. It will not be open to the public for customer pickup. The facility is expected to operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week with approximately 30 employees over two shifts upon start-up. Approximately 40 vehicle trips and 40 inbound and outbound truck trips are expected at the new warehouse daily. Construction of the new warehouse is expected to be complete during the summer of 2015.
Uline has plans (approved on August 11, 2014) to construct a second 1.1 million square foot warehouse and has announced it will submit plans soon for a second 200,000 square foot office building at its corporate headquarters in Pleasant Prairie. Uline currently occupies two additional warehouse locations in Pleasant Prairie, one on 88th Avenue and one on 100th Street. Community Development Director Jean Werbie-Harris commented, “Uline is an amazing company.”
