Thank you to those who braved the snow and cold to join us on November 16 for the Veterans Day Ceremony at Pleasant Prairie’s Veterans Memorial. Your presence at the ceremony was a tribute to all of those who have served and are serving in our country’s military. Thank you for helping to honor our service men and women.
The Village would like to extend special congratulations to Pleasant Prairie VFW Post 7308 for being named Wisconsin’s All State Post 2010-2014 and All American Post 2013-2014 within the National VFW organization. Additional special thanks go to the following organizations for their role in the ceremony: Pleasant Prairie VFW Post 7308, Paul Fredericksen, Post Commander; Kenosha Area Vietnam Veterans and Honor Guard; Pleasant Prairie Police Department Honor Guard; Ron Hessil, Past Dept. Commander Wisconsin American Legion 1st District; Gary Wetzel, Medal of Honor recipient; the family of SSgt. James VanBendegom, POW/MIA returned home after 47 years; Bugles Across America; Warriors’ Watch Riders; Paielli’s Bakery; Culvers of Pleasant Prairie; Cub Scout Pack 544; and Girl Scout Troop 9266.
