NEW DRIVEWAY ACCESS AND PARKING AREAS AT VILLAGE HALL

A new entrance drive (off of Springbrook Road) and expanded parking areas surrounding Pleasant Prairie’s Village Hall have recently opened (Saturday, October 11).

The new entrance drive to Pleasant Prairie’s Village Hall is located on Springbrook Road just east of 39th Avenue. The former entrance to Village Hall, from 39th Avenue, has been permanently closed. Signage directing visitors to the new entrance has been placed along roads approaching Village Hall.

A second entrance drive to Village Hall is also under construction. The second entrance, via 38th Avenue, is scheduled to reopen at the end of October and will be accessible from 100th Street to the south of Village Hall. Access to the current Fire Station #1 will remain on 39th Avenue until construction of the new Fire Station is complete.

The new access drive and parking areas are part of the site work being completed in coordination with the construction of a larger fire station and in preparation for upcoming changes to 39th Avenue. Work on 39th Avenue between 97th and 104th Streets is expected to begin in the spring of 2015. This stretch of 39th Avenue will play an integral role in the Village Green Center, a future residential and commercial development immediately to the west of the roadway (May 2014 Village Newsletter).
