On Monday, April 21, three Pleasant Prairie Public Safety employees were honored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) for outstanding service. They received a certificate of appreciation from Pleasant Prairie VFW - Post 7308 and a national award acknowledging their exemplary performance.
Firemedic Adam Craig recognized a very rare condition in a young patient when assessing a rescue scene. His recognition saved the young man’s life.
Detective Heather Mogensen was also recognized for her professionalism, caring, and wealth of experience in handling a highly publicized investigation relating to a horse farm. Mogensen continues to volunteer her time with agencies that supported the case.
Firemedic Aaron Longrie was also recognized for his role as the training officer for the Kenosha County Hazardous Materials team, a cooperative effort among multiple departments and for his life saving efforts during an ice rescue.
The Village would like to thank the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Post 7308 for recognizing the exemplary service provided by these three individuals.
