Each year, sporting events in Pleasant Prairie draw thousands of visitors to the community. Carol Willke, Director of Recreation for the Village explained, "These events provide a challenging and rewarding experience for athletes and inspiring and motivational moments for spectators and volunteers alike." Willke added, "The triathlons also provide additional tourism dollars in our community to the benefit of local businesses and the greater community. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to host these events in Pleasant Prairie." The estimated economic impact of multisport events over the summer months for area businesses has exceeded $1 million in past years. These races also reach out to the community through charitable giving components.
