The more recycling we keep out of the landfill, the lower our costs for garbage collection...
Thank you to those who recycle regularly. Your efforts help keep solid waste costs lower, and we truly appreciate that. The list below highlights items that should be placed in your recycling bin instead of the landfill...
- Cardboard
- Chipboard boxes (cereal/shoe boxes)
- Boxboard (unlined merchandise boxes)
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Catalogs, flyers and junk mail
- Telephone books
- Paperback books
- Untreated office papers (typing, copy, printer)
- Stationary, envelopes, and bills
- Brown paper bags
- Clean plastic bottles and containers (marked with recyclable numbers 1 through 7)
- Clean glass containers
- Clean aluminum cans and containers
- Clean steel (tin) cans and containers
Food containers are recyclable when they are free from food remnants (a pizza box is recyclable so long as any melted cheese and other food remnants are removed from the container).
