IN PLEASANT PRAIRIE, EVERY DAY IS A NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFICATION DAY
In many communities, local businesses and entire neighborhoods host an annual Neighborhood Beautification Day. On these days, volunteers organize and come together to clean up, and beautify, a particular area in the community. Local governments will usually offer an unlimited garbage collection following these events in order for the volunteers to easily dispose of the litter they've collected.
The Village of Pleasant Prairie invites residents to make their own Neighborhood Beautification Day any day of the year!
With most residents in Pleasant Prairie subscribing to unlimited garbage collection, residents and neighborhoods can designate any day of the year as a Neighborhood Beautification Day and simply place the extra bags of garbage collected out during their weekly garbage collection.
If you have larger items you need to dispose of from your own property, you can call Public Works at 262.925.6700 to schedule a bulk item or white goods pickup, or you can bring the item to the new Residential Recycling Center (compost site) at 8000 128th Street for a reduced fee. More information about options for disposing of larger items can be found here or on pages eight and nine of your 2016 Village Calendar.
