SITE AND OPERATIONAL PLANS APPROVED FOR KEM KREST

On Monday, September 12, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved site and operational plans for Kem Krest. The company plans to occupy a 275,000 square foot building 9801 80th Avenue in LakeView Corporate Park for the warehousing and distribution of motor cycle parts and accessories and packaging materials, such as boxes, tape, film, bubblewrap, etc.

Unified Solutions had previously occupied the building for a period of 22 years. Kem Krest has assumed a portion of Unified Solutions business and is currently performing the same services for the same customers from the facility. Kem Krest has hired approximately 80% of the former Unified Solutions employees.

Kem Krest is based in Elkhart, Indiana and specializes in providing comprehensive outsourced solutions. Unified Solutions decided to cease business operations during late June of this year, and Kem Krest subsequently purchased most of Unified Solutions assets and leased the same facility in LakeView Corporate Park to provide services for former Unified Solutions clients.

Hours of operation for the facility are 6:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. The company employs 114 full-time positions and between 30 to 70 temporary positions between April and September. Maximum employment is expected to reach 200 employees. The facility averages approximately 15 to 20 truck trips per day.
