SAFETY DAY IN THE PRAIRIE - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8
All are invited to join Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue as they host the inaugural Safety Day in the Prairie on Saturday, October 8, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Safety Day in the Prairie will be held at Pleasant Prairie Fire Station #1 (3801 Springbrook Road). This is a free event that is open to the public.
Safety Day in the Prairie will feature: life safety, technical rescue and a smoke flow demonstration (at 11:00 a.m.); displays of new medical equipment and the Village's newest ambulance; fire station tours; the fire safety house; and presentations from local law enforcement officers.
Safety Day in the Prairie is being held in conjunction with Fire Prevention month, which takes place during the month of October. Fire Prevention Week takes place October 9 through 15. Members of Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue encourage all residents to have a fire safety plan and to discuss fire safety with members of their household.
During 2016, Safety Day in the Prairie is being held in lieu of Steak by Fire. Safety Day in the Prairie is sponsored by the Pleasant Prairie Fire Rescue Association, Inc., a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that supports the Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue Department and works to enhance public safety.
Members of the Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue Department wish to sincerely thank those who have shown their support for the department. More information is available by calling Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue at 262.694.8027.
