FINAL SITE AND OPERATIONAL PLANS APPROVED FOR SECOND ULINE CORPORATE OFFICE BUILDING IN PLEASANT PRAIRIE
On Monday, January 25, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved Final Site and Operational Plans for Uline. The company plans to begin construction of a second office building near its corporate campus in Pleasant Prairie. Preliminary Site and Operational Plans for the project were approved in March of last year.
Final plans call for the construction of a 284,260 square foot, three-story office building and related site improvements on approximately 37 acres of land located along the west I-94 Frontage Road, south of County Highway Q. The new building will be very similar to their existing corporate headquarters located to the northwest.
Construction of the second office building is expected to begin during the spring of 2016 and to be complete during August of 2017. Uline expects to initially employ 500 individuals at the new corporate office building with that number growing to 800 over time. Uline has indicated that the new office building will accommodate the continued growth of the family-owned company. Uline has also indicated that the new building's proximity to their current headquarters will help maintain the company culture and will facilitate efficient communication and quick decision making.
Uline is currently completing its second one million square foot warehouse at its corporate campus and occupies two other distribution centers in Pleasant Prairie. "We feel incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing family-run business in the community," explained Village President John Steinbrink Sr. "An employer that offers so many family-sustaining jobs, promotes an exceptional work experience and customer service philosophy, and helps support community partners, is a plus for the entire community."
