SITE AND OPERATIONAL PLANS APPROVED FOR CARE ANIMAL HOSPITAL
On Monday, November 28, 2016, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved site and operational plans and related documents for Care Animal Hospital. Care Animal Hospital will construct an 11,836 square foot veterinary office on approximately 2.16 acres in the Prairie Ridge Commercial area. The property is located on the north side of Prairie Ridge Boulevard, west of 88th Avenue.
Care Animal Hospital (CARE) has operated from a location on the north side of State Highway 50 in Pleasant Prairie since April of 2000. CARE plans to relocate to the new, larger location upon its completion during the fall of 2017.
Hours for the clinic will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Care is also proposing to provide emergency services on an on-call basis. Seven doctors and 30 full-time employees are expected to work from the new location. Approximately 140 customer visits are expected per day.
A Conceptual Plan for the project was previously approved by the Plan Commission on June 22, 2015 and by the Village Board on July 6, 2015. With the approval of the site and operational plans, construction of the new location is expected to begin this December.
