TELEPHONE LINES TO PLEASANT PRAIRIE POLICE DEPARTMENT NOT FUNCTIONING AT FULL CAPACITY
EFFORTS TO REPAIR TELEPHONE LINES ARE CURRENTLY UNDERWAY
Please be aware - regular telephone lines to the Pleasant Prairie Police Department are currently not working at full capacity. Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, Pleasant Prairie's Public Safety Dispatch Center recognized an interruption in telephone service. The cause is currently unknown.
911 CALLS CONTINUE TO BE ANSWERED.
Per standard practice, all emergency calls placed to 911 in the Village of Pleasant Prairie are routed through Kenosha County Joint Services Communications Department. The calls are being rerouted to Pleasant Prairie's Public Safety Dispatch Center via an alternate telephone number.
Until the issue is resolved, all NON-EMERGENCY CALLERS are asked to use 262.694.1234 to contact the Pleasant Prairie Police Department.
The Village is currently working with AT&T to identify the cause and to resolve the interruption in service. We would like to ensure residents that 911 is still available during this outage for emergency situations and would like to thank all non-emergency callers for their patience.
