The Union Pacific closure at 91st Street has been extended through Friday, September 9. The road is expected to reopen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9.

UNION PACIFIC CLOSURE AT 91ST STREET SEPTEMBER 6-8

Union Pacific is preparing to perform an emergency road closure at the railroad crossing along 91st Street in the Village of Pleasant Prairie. The closure is expected to begin on Tuesday, September 6 at 9:00 a.m. and end on Thursday, September 8 at 5:00 p.m.

A representative for Union Pacific indicated that the emergency closure is necessary to ensure continued safety along the Metra North Line. Traffic will be detoured to and from Sheridan Road via 75th Street to the north of the road closure. A detour map is available below by clicking "View PDF" below.
