ARE YOU A MAKER WHO IS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT SHARING WHAT YOU MAKE AND HOW YOU MAKE IT?
If you are...we could use your help (please)
Makers come in all ages and interests. Makers are: tech enthusiasts, crafters, do-it-yourselfers, instructors, hobbyists, inventors, engineers, artists, artisans, science clubs, authors, or commercial exhibitors. Makers are passionate about what they make and sharing why and how they make things.
The Village is interested in hosting a Mini Maker Faire in late November 2016 and is seeking community support.
The event is part science fair, part exhibition and showcase, and all about creativity, innovation, art, making, and sharing what you make. Whether you make it in your kitchen, your workshop, or anywhere else, this event could be an opportunity for you to share what you know with an all ages audience and to meet other makers of all kinds.
Over the next few weeks, the Village is seeking makers who are willing to express support for the event via an online letter of support/endorsement. These can be individual makers, schools/educators, or other types of business or community organizations. This will help the Village take the first steps towards hosting a faire in late November. If you are willing to show your support for this community event in Pleasant Prairie, please contact Chris at [email protected] or 262.925.6745.
