WORK TO BEGIN ON SHERIDAN ROAD WATER MAIN PROJECT IN EARLY MAY
Drivers asked to exercise patience and remain attentive when in project area
Work will begin on a water main project along Sheridan Road between 91st and 104th Streets in early May. Both lanes of traffic are expected to remain open throughout the duration of the work; however, the road shoulder will be closed. Crews will work with property owners in the area to maintain access to properties throughout the construction project.
New water main will be installed along three project sections: on Sheridan Road, between 91st and 104th Streets; on 91st Street, between Sheridan Road and 7th Avenue; and on 7th Avenue, between 90th and 91st Streets. The project is intended to improve the operation and reliability of Pleasant Prairie's water system.
Crews will be working alongside and under the roads and road right-of-ways. The Village asks travelers to please use care and exercise patience when traveling through the project area. Please abide by traffic control signs, barricades, and flaggers.
"While we always want to encourage individuals to be safe, courteous and attentive while driving, this is especially true in areas where construction crews are present without the protection of a vehicle," explained Director of Public Works John Steinbrink Jr. "Please help protect construction crews by paying close attention and driving slowly through this area." Work is expected to be complete this fall.
