Historical Society Picnic Fundraiser

The photo to the right (1922) was donated to the Society by Garrett and Viola Dreger of Pleasant Prairie. Miss Herrmann (center top row) was Viola’s mother and a teacher at the Dublin School.

The Dublin School is proposed to be converted into a local history museum to store, exhibit and educate the community about Pleasant Prairie. The Society is looking to reminisce by recreating some new, old-fashioned fun with a community-wide picnic. Funds raised during the picnic will support the Dublin School renovation project.

The Dublin School Picnic Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 9 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The picnic fundraiser will take place at Halter Wildlife, 9626 113th Street (just west of Highway H off of 113th Street) in Pleasant Prairie.

Activities will include:
• Live music
• Kid’s activities (hay wagon rides, gunny sack races, and carnival games)
• Bingo and raffles
• Live auction of homemade pies and baked goods
• Police K9 and Fire & Rescue demonstrations
• Car show
• Food and beverages for children and adults
• Quilting displays
• Informational booths

For more information about the event, please contact Jean Werbie-Harris at the Pleasant Prairie Historical Society at (262) 947-3600 or [email protected].
