Walkers and runners of all ages are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes for Scary in the Prairie 5K Walk/Run. The event will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 5:00 p.m. inside Prairie Springs Park in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The run will take participants on the paved running path around Lake Andrea, with the course starting and finishing at the Wruck Beach Pavilion on the west side of Lake Andrea.
Race day registration and packet pick-up begin at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the race. The registration fee for the event is $30. Pre-registration is currently underway at
runreg.com/scary-in-the-prairie-5k. The online registration deadline is Friday, October 21, 2022, at noon. Participants can also register on the day of the event. The day of registration is from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Early registration is needed to guarantee an official race shirt.
“We’d love the community to come out and celebrate this spooky fun run with us on October 22. In past years families, colleagues, and friends have had a great time dressing up in costumes and participating in the event,” commented Sandy Wiedmeyer, Pleasant Prairie Operations Superintendent at RecPlex. “The race is a low-key, yet active, and an excellent way for families and friends to engage in a healthy outdoor activity this fall.”
