During its February 10, 2025, meeting, the Pleasant Prairie Village Board conditionally approved a license agreement with JZiemba Enterprises LLC to operate the Lake Andrea Beer Garden for the 2025-2026 season. John Ziemba, owner and operator of Johnny'Z Pour House, will manage the Beer Garden, which will remain at its current location along the southwest shore of Lake Andrea in Prairie Springs Park at Picnic Area #2.
The agreement outlines the Beer Garden's operational framework, including licensing requirements, operating hours, and financial terms. The license term runs from March 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Operating hours will be (subject to change):
- Wednesday – Friday: Noon to 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Monday and Tuesday: Closed, except for special events.
If the Village chooses not to renew the agreement at the end of the term, a request for proposals (RFP) may be issued to solicit other potential operators. However, if the Beer Garden’s inaugural season is deemed successful, the Village may extend the agreement without requiring an RFP process.
As part of the transition, agreements will be executed with previous operators, Box Car Brews, LLC, and Barrel Boys Hospitality, LLC, to formally conclude their respective licenses.
