Police End Search of Area in Missing Person Investigation

On June 10, 2017 the Pleasant Prairie Police Department began an investigation of an individual who was reported missing from his home. Michael Wyatt, age 41, was last seen at his home in Pleasant Prairie by family members on June 7, 2017.

The investigation into the disappearance of Michael Wyatt led investigators back to a rural area of Pleasant Prairie where on November 7, 2017, a combined effort between the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue, the Kenosha County Dive Team and the Pleasant Prairie Public Works continued the search for information in the disappearance of Michael Wyatt. Cadaver dogs were utilized to assist in the search and the dogs alerted to a pond on the property.

The search area was located near 47th Avenue and 128th Street. Exhaustive measures were used to search the area and the pond, but no items of any evidentiary value were located during the two day operation.

Pleasant Prairie Police want to emphasize to the public that, based on the investigation to this point, there is no indication of foul play in Michael Wyatt’s disappearance and there is no danger to the general public. Further updates to the public will be provided as the investigation develops.
