MEDICATION COLLECTION SITES
As part of efforts to prevent accidental poisonings, prescription drug abuse and pollution of our local waterways, Kenosha County offers permanent medication collection sites. At the sites listed below, residents can dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medications in a safe and environmentally sound manner, free-of-charge.
Medication should be kept in its original container with the name of the medication visible. Cross off any personal information on the container and dispose of it directly in the Medication Drop Box. If you would like to learn more about the safe disposal of medication, please click here.
Acceptable items include: prescription medications, ointments, over the counter medications, creams, and pet medications. Items NOT accepted include: liquids (like cough medicine), injectables, intravenous solutions, illegal drugs, biohazardous materials, needles, sharps, and syringes.
