The "Keep It Clean" video offers a detailed explanation of the new Clean Water Utility that the Village established to meet new state requirements. The video airs on Channel 25, in the Village of Pleasant Prairie, daily at 3:00 pm. In addition, the Village received a Best Series, Award of Achievement for "An Inside Look" produced jointly by the Channel 25 staff and the Police Department. In the Documentary category the Village received an Award of Achievement for "Village of Pleasant Prairie," an overview video about the Village community.
The awards were presented by WAPC, the Wisconsin Association of PEG Access Channels. The WAPC solicited entries for video productions produced by public, educational and government access facilities (PEG) to encourage more effective use of PEG channels as a community resource.
Ryan Marquart, Video Production Technician for the Village of Pleasant Prairie, received the awards on behalf of the Village during the WAPC conference in Madison on Friday, May 4. "The goal with the PEG channel is to provide residents with information they can use and present it in a way that makes it enjoyable to watch," commented Marquart. "While it's a bonus to be recognized by your peers, it's important to stay focused on the customer and strive to deliver a product that has value to the community."
Programming on Channel 25 is broadcast 24 hours per day. Content is updated regularly and includes: contact information, garbage and recycling updates, community development news, recreation news and information and educational safety messages. Channel 25 was launched on January 17, 2006
